U.S. 10K Classic
The U.S. 10K Classic is Atlanta’s premier multi-event road race and the largest Balance Walking event in the U.S.A. Each year runners, balance walkers, inline skaters, wheelchair athletes and professional cyclists come together for a single cause — to raise awareness and funds for children’s charities in Georgia and for the future development of the World Children’s Center.
Race Participants include elite athletes from around the world, national and regional 10K running champions, international and regional cyclists, inline skaters, wheelchair athletes, corporate team runners, race walkers, walkers and people who just love to participate!
100% of profits from the U.S.10K Classic and Family Festival benefit children in need, with a goal of making a difference in the lives of children in Georgia and from around the world. Each year, proceeds are donated back to community organizations benefiting children and also for the development of the World Children’s Center.
The World Children’s Center is a 710-acre master planned community under construction in Haralson County, Georgia. The Center will serve homeless, orphaned and/or neglected children from Georgia, the United States and the World. The first phase of children’s homes are currently being built by the 2005 National Builder of the Year John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods. When complete, the World Children’s Center will consist of 100+ children homes, Pre-K - 12 grade school, health and wellness center and athletic venues, among other facilities. Children will be cared for by loving, surrogate house parents. Ultimately, up to 800 children will call the community home.
Balance Walking Coaches and sponsor Foot Solutions are proud supporters of the U.S. 10K Classic.
